The Shangrao Art Museum (Shangrao Museum of Art and Antiquities), located within the Shangrao Cultural Innovation Park in Jiangxi Province, is a major public cultural facility covering a total floor area of 17,812.6 square meters.
As a large-scale public cultural institution that brings together artistic creation, cultural exchange, exhibitions, education, and collections management, the museum aims to establish itself as a “nationally advanced, Jiangxi-leading” institution. Designated as a key municipal project, it has become one of the landmark buildings of Shangrao City.
The architectural design features three spiraling arms extending outward and upward, representing Shangrao's cultural convergence of three regional influences as well as its iconic "Three Mountains, One Lake" natural landscape.
The facility includes one basement and three above-ground floors, housing nine exhibition halls and a variety of specialized spaces, such as:– An academic lecture hall– Public art studios– An art history and archaeology research center– Creative practice and connoisseurship rooms– A paper conservation and restoration lab– A photography studio– An art reference library
