The China National Arts and Crafts Museum, located on the northern extension of Beijing’s Central Axis, officially opened to the public during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. With government approval, it also bears the name “China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum.”
Blending the elegance of traditional Chinese architecture with cutting-edge smart technologies, it is the country’s first national-level museum dedicated to showcasing both arts and crafts and intangible cultural heritage. The museum houses a premier collection of contemporary Chinese arts and crafts masterpieces and has been praised as a “floating treasure pavilion in the sky.”
It also serves as a vibrant cultural hub that integrates ecology, technology, heritage, and the Olympic legacy.
