As a new cultural landmark in the city, the new Shenzhen Art Museum was jointly designed by KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten and Zhubo Design. With a total floor area of 66,000 square meters, the museum covers 20,000 square meters of exhibition space and 3,900 square meters of semi-outdoor sculpture plaza. The complex houses 18 galleries along with a painting storage vault, academic lecture hall, art library, public education spaces, art-themed restaurant, cultural and creative shop, and an underground parking garage. All functional areas, facilities, and architectural finishes are built to top-tier standards. The museum serves as a world-class center for art exhibitions, collections, cultural exchange, talent development, and public engagement.
