The Comrade Liu Bocheng Memorial Museum is located within Shengshan Park, Kaizhou District, Chongqing. Constructed in December 1990, it holds multiple national designations: National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base, National Defense Education Demonstration Base, National Tier-Three Museum, AAAA-rated Tourist Attraction, and it is one of 300 key sites included in China's 30 Signature Red Tourism Routes.
The main building, a modern structure in traditional style, reflects classic Sichuan-Chongqing architectural aesthetics. The inscription over the entrance—“Liu Bocheng Memorial Hall”—was penned by Deng Xiaoping. In his 1986 essay In Memory of Bocheng, Deng paid heartfelt tribute to Marshal Liu’s lifelong military service: “Over more than half a century, he commanded countless battles, was wounded nine times, and earned numerous honors. Known for his brilliant strategies, he was remembered as the ‘one-eyed general’ throughout the world.”
