The new Wuwei Museum complex consists of a main exhibition hall and an administrative building. As a multifunctional and comprehensive institution, it integrates artifact display, collection storage, academic exchange, and administrative operations.
The museum currently houses a collection of 46,111 cultural relics, noted for their richness and distinctive character. Highlights include Silk Road artifacts from Han-Tang dynasties, relics from the Western Xia dynasty, Buddhist art from successive dynasties, and ethnic minority cultural heritage.
Designated as a National Tier-Three Museum, its permanent exhibitions include: Wuwei Historical Artifacts Exhibition and Tiantishan Grottoes Special Exhibition. Complemented by rotating temporary displays, these exhibitions systematically present the region‘s cultural legacy.
