
International experts gather in Huizhou to explore the future of museums in the era of intelligent media
From 2 to 5 December, the 2025 Museum Curators' Cooperation Exchange Meeting of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Museum Alliance and the Second Session of the Guangdong Museum Senior Management Talent Training Programmed were held in Huizhou.
This event brings together nearly 200 experts and scholars from the cultural heritage sector both domestically and internationally. It aims to address new challenges in the era of intelligent media, jointly explore new measures for collaborative development, and chart a new chapter for the alliance.

On 3 December, the second session of the Guangdong Museum Senior Management Talent Training Programmed commenced at the Huizhou Science and Technology Museum, the curriculum encompassed practical content such as museum digital resource development and new media operations, alongside cutting-edge topics including smart media technological innovation applications and cross-sector integration of cultural IP. Lecturers comprised renowned international museum scholars from South Korea and Singapore, alongside senior domestic experts in cultural creativity and communication fields, as well as industry leaders deeply engaged in Guangdong's cultural heritage sector. Mr. Bae Ki-dong, President of the Korean Museum and Museum Professionals Association and Honorary Chair of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Asia-Pacific Regional Alliance, delivered a presentation entitled “Museum Strategies in the Digital Age: Becoming a Public Treasure Trove – The ‘Smart’ Museum”.

Mr. Tseng Wenming, Deputy Director of Operations and Institutional Services at the Asian Civilizations Museum in Singapore, delivered a presentation focusing on digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence.
